Rory's Resin Rocket

Super sick board! Color came out pretty sick..... Rory and Dakota gave the board a spin down at San' O this weekend and called it crypt... Rory was trimming with mega style and was grabbing rail during his cut backs... Dakota is now in line for one and will probably be calling every 5minutes to see if his board is done yet..

Sneek peek at some upcoming boards.

These are some boards I shaped for some close friends from Ventura. This is a look at the boards getting they're fins right before the hot coat.

A splash of color

Cheyn's Mini Sims after being laminated. The board will look a lot better after the hot coat. You really can't get the full affect of the color scheme during this part of the board building process. It's sort of like when you put Armor all on dry tires...It just makes the colors richer and fuller.

Cheyne's Mini Sims

This is a look at Cheyne's freshly shaped Mini Sims. This surfing platform is a lot more fun to surf than it is to shape. There are alot of shapes that you can look at and say "that looks about right". Well the Mini Sims is not one.... This board needs a good eye and shaping instinct. This board is super fun to ride and has its own bag of tricks. This board rides similar to the Fish in the way that it is a little skaty. The best way to describe this board is that it flows to your own beat whether you want to pump fast down the line or just cruise up and down the face of the wave. The rails of this board are crucial to the performance . I kept the rails super sharp in the tail and gradually soften them towards the middle. The sharp rails create the drive and control. I am hand shaping and foiling some cedar fins for this board. This board will be laminated on Monday and should be done by the end of the week.
